Warehouse Stock Controller
Location: Worcester WR5
Salary: 12.98 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Friday to Monday (4-day workweek)
Important: Due to the location, public transport is not an option for this shift. You will need to arrange your own transportation, such as a bicycle or car.
About the Role:
We are seeking proactive and reliable Warehouse Operatives / Stock Controllers to join our weekend team in a refrigerated warehouse environment. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, picking, and packing of orders, maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and inspect deliveries, including non-food items.
- Verify compliance of received goods (e.g., temperature, shelf life, and condition).
- Maintain thorough records for each delivery, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to ensure proper stock rotation, storage, and labeling.
- Adhere to hygiene standards and company procedures at all times.
- Report and document any issues such as short-dated, over-temperature, or substandard products.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of both chilled and ambient storage areas.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality, and health & safety regulations.
About You:
The ideal candidate will:
- Be detail-oriented and able to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
- Have basic computer and counting skills.
- Hold a valid counterbalance and reach truck license (preferred, but not essential).
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Be comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (3-8 C).
- Demonstrate the ability to build positive working relationships with team members.
