Are you a dynamic English & Drama Teacher ready to engage and inspire students in both English and the performing arts? We’re thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and creative secondary school in Stroud, looking for a passionate teacher to join their team and make a lasting impact on students' learning experiences.
As the English & Drama Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to lead students through an exciting blend of literature, language, and drama. You’ll be instrumental in helping students develop strong communication skills, confidence, and an appreciation for the arts. Whether it’s dissecting a classic novel or directing a school play, your lessons will bring learning to life.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging English and Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspire students to explore literature, enhance writing skills, and perform with confidence
Plan and execute lessons that integrate both literary analysis and dramatic performance
Organise and direct school drama productions, showcases, and extracurricular activities
Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s English and Drama curriculum
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications in English and Drama
A strong passion for both literature and performance arts
Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
Creative and innovative approach to teaching, with a focus on student engagement
Ability to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment
