Senior Trainer / Tutor / Teacher with an established profile in Live Event Production, professional experience of Entertainment Technology & Production and a teaching qualification is required for a well-established organisation based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. If you have a primary specialism and demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas within Production for the stage and/or screen, wed like to hear from you: Production Management Staging and Rigging Lighting Technologies Live Sound Technologies Audio Visual Technologies SALARY: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (Depending on experience) + Benefits LOCATION: South Kirkby, West Yorkshire (WF9) JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, 08:30 17:30, Monday Saturday working 5 days from 6 per week (Occasional weekend and evening work will be required) JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Trainer / Tutor / Teacher with an established profile in Live Event Production, professional experience of Entertainment Technology & Production and a teaching qualification. Working as a Senior Trainer / Tutor / Teacher you will deliver high quality technical instruction and training across the organisations education portfolio (predominantly working on short courses / boot camps) and across different delivery locations in the UK. As the Senior Trainer / Tutor / Teacher you will also contribute to the development of the curriculum and curriculum resources, required to ensure an outstanding learner experience. DUTIES Your duties as Senior Trainer / Tutor / Teacher will include (but are not limited to): Subject Specialism & Professional Expertise Delivery of high-quality technical training and teaching sessions to Bootcamp / short course learners Provide a high level of industry insight to learners to ensure they can make informed decisions about their future career path Ensure course materials and resources are current, reflect industry best practice and enhance delivery Teaching and Organisation and Support of Teaching Delivery and teaching of classes, projects, and other learning activities Delivering classes in both practice and theory to students Identify learner starting points, including maths and English and infill gaps in knowledge and skills Delivery and coordination of teaching and learning in conjunction with lecturers Supervision of students work on projects and assignments Quality Assurance, Review, and Programme Development Contribute to the annual review and quality assurance processes of the courses and activities Ensure that the quality of teaching is of the highest standard Student Experience Work with colleagues across the Academy to ensure the highest possible standards of student experience Ensure that students are appropriately supported and provided with timely and constructive guidance for their academic development and pastoral care CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Professional experience of Entertainment Technology and Production A primary specialism and demonstratable experience in at least one of the following areas within Production for the stage and/or screen: Production Management Staging and Rigging Lighting Technologies Live Sound Technologies Audio Visual Technologies Familiarity with contemporary live event performance and production and their cultural, social and industry contexts Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills Commitment to pastoral and academic support of students Teaching qualification or a willingness to undertake such a qualification within two years Teaching or Training experience Recent experience of working in a technical or design role in the Live Events or Broadcast Industries Desirable A secondary specialism and demonstrable experience in at least one of the following areas: Virtual Production Film/TV Production Networking and control systems Visualisation and Computer Aided Design Familiarity with international and alternative developments in live event production A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline Existing and up to date DBS or CRB assessment Experience working within a Further education environment Familiarity with developments in learning and teaching in vocational higher education BENEFITS 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Pension Employee Lunches Provided Free Car Parking Cycle to work scheme Electric Car scheme Staff development and training opportunities Staff Wellbeing & support services HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
