Need to have fabrication experience

Must be able to drive as the location is remote with no access via public

Role Responsibilities:

• Hold a daily team meeting to discuss work allocation and discuss any challenges
• Scheduling all manufacturing projects, allocating workload to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Work closely with Project Management team to create a clear priority of works.
• Working with the compliance and systems officer to improve processes and work towards a LEAN manufacturing process.
• To manage and gather time sheets from the production team for processing for team members
• Managing the Fabrication and Machinery teams, including staff one to ones, probation etc.
• Assisting the quality manager ensuring the team maintain quality standards to the quality manual.
• Ensure all production team members have everything they need to carry out the tasks set. This includes material on the shop floor, PPE, tools and space.
• To hold team members to accounts for hitting certain output each day.
• Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself
• Responsible for steel sheet stock management and procurement
• Responsible for the procurement of all workshop consumables as well as working with-in a budget
• Responsible for ensuring health & safety standards are met in and around the factory
• Responsible for the up-keep and maintenance for the factory and its machine

Experience required:

• At least 5 years previous line management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in fabrication
• Must have a background in engineering
• Excellent IT skills, especially excel
• Ideally scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment and preference given if in fabrication
• Excellent communication skills
• Health and Safety experience, preferably Ibosh accredited, but training can be provided.
• Budgeting and purchasing experience would be an advantage
• Full valid UK driving licence require
