Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Chesham Start Date: January 2025 Contract: Long-term, Full-Time, Permanent Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Supply Desk is offering an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant based in Chesham. This role is ideal for those eager to make a positive impact within a supportive and nurturing environment. The Role/Responsibilities: Provide patient and nurturing support to children with complex learning difficulties. Effectively communicate with parents and teachers, offering behavioural and emotional assistance. Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored support for students with challenging behaviour. Support SEN pupils in one-to-one, small group, and classroom settings, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Implement and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Bring creativity and innovation to lessons, making learning engaging and enjoyable. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care. Adhere to child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality policies, reporting concerns appropriately. Assist with pupil supervision before and after school and during breaks. Ideal Candidate: Strong knowledge of SEN and a passion for supporting student growth. NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (unqualified candidates are also welcome to apply). Experience in supporting the social and emotional development of children. Enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to making a positive difference in students’ lives. Able to commute to Chesham.
