Job Requirements / Description
Our client is a leading provider of fabrication services for the offshore industry. Due to growth they now require a Project Manager to work from their busy North West facility.
The Role
You will be the focal point for all client relationships and the senior representative attending customer meetings, collaborating with other Project Managers and the Senior Leadership Team.
Oversee projects from the initial estimating, design and planning stages through to final delivery, ensuring all design, technical, financial, and stakeholder requirements are met.
Leading projects from inception to timely completion you ll manage and coordinate all stakeholders by developing and executing detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation and budget management.
Facilitate communication and collaboration while monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications providing regular project updates and reports to your senior leadership team and the clients.
The Person
Experience as a Project Manager in Marine fabrication / construction where you have performed under pressure with a working knowledge of the procedures and processes undertaken in shipyards.
Knowledge of shipyard trade skills and their scope of work.
Experience of MoD single source contracting and SSRO requirements would be beneficial
Strong leadership will be key to success in this role as well as your team management and vital communication and interpersonal skills critical when working with a large and expanding team.
A strong understanding of commercial aspects of projects so that you can make informed decisions while managing multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities.
An APM or Prince 2 Project Management qualification would be ideal along with proficiency with project management software and tools.
