Salary: £48474 - £54266 Shift hours: 37 2 year Fixed Term Contract. 37 hours per week. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Public Health team, leading on the Public Health Tobacco Control portfolio, specifically delivering the Government’s Smoke Free Generation project. We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead from the front, be innovative in their thinking and champion a Smoke Free Coventry across multiple key partner organisations. The post will: Lead the development, delivery and programme management of multiple tobacco related public health programmes and projects Target key population groups based on health needs and data to improve health outcomes Implementing evidence-based and innovative strategies to reduce smoking prevalence Effectively evaluate the impact of programmes, projects & service redesign Provide advice and guidance to support the commissioning of services that lead to the delivery of improvement in health outcomes Work within the City Council's commissioning and procurement processes Lead on the development of sub-regional working for relevant programme areas For an informal chat about the role please contact Catherine Aldridge at: Catherine.AldridgeCoventry.gov.uk Significant experience in project management with an ability to lead and influence to achieve action and outcomes Demonstrate excellent communication skills with experience of influencing, negotiating and appraising across a variety of key stakeholders Experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and voluntary sector partners, along with the ability to manage multiple demands, work methodically and achieve targets / deadlines Skilled at prioritising work, managing time and working autonomously under pressure to deliver to deadlines and grant reporting Able to lead and work strategically across a range of sectors and create trusted relationships Have a passion for reducing health inequalities Be keen to develop and learn new knowledge and skills in a supportive team environment Our workforce data shows that men, people from minority ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities and people from the LGBTQ community are under-represented, so we encourage applicants from these backgrounds to apply.
