The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Field Service Engineer?

As a Marine Service Engineer, you will work independently or as part of a team to install, maintain, and repair a range of satellite communications and navigational equipment.

• Conduct Annual Performance Tests (APTs) for Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs)
• Perform radio equipment surveys
• Install, repair, and maintain GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) equipment
• Install, repair, and maintain marine navigational systems
• Install, repair, and maintain VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite broadband systems
• Participate in retrofit projects, including complete bridge installations and large-scale system integrations

What are we looking for in our next Field Service Engineer?

• HNC/ONC/NVQ Level or equivalent qualification
• Preferred qualifications in IT or engineering
• Valid driving license
• Ability to pass a marine/offshore worker medical exam
• Valid passport
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Marine Service Engineer
• Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical engineering principles
• GMDSS Radio Operator/Maintainer License is preferred
