7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver Pay Rate: £13.50 - £16.34 per hour (increases to £16.34 after 12 weeks) Location: Charlton, Greater London Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client’s team in Charlton, Greater London. This position involves multi-drop deliveries of catering supplies to a variety of locations across the area. The role requires someone who is physically fit and capable of handling the manual labor aspect of the job, which includes heavy lifting and ensuring the safe transport of items. The successful candidate will also be able to provide excellent customer service while adhering to strict delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities: * Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle to safely deliver catering supplies to various clients. * Completing 16-18 multi-drop deliveries per day, ensuring deliveries are on time and accurate. * Loading and unloading heavy supplies, following health and safety standards to prevent injury. * Maintaining high levels of customer service during deliveries, ensuring client satisfaction at each stop. * Completing and maintaining all required paperwork, such as delivery notes and logs, to ensure accurate records. * Performing daily vehicle checks to identify and report any mechanical issues or concerns to ensure the vehicle remains in safe, working condition. * Complying with traffic laws and company policies at all times, ensuring the safety of yourself, other road users, and the cargo. Essential Qualifications & Experience: * Valid UK manual driving license for 7.5 tonne vehicles. * Digital tachograph card. * Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification card. * Proven experience as a 7.5 tonne driver, with specific experience in multi-drop deliveries. * Ability to lift and move heavy supplies safely and efficiently. * Familiarity with local routes in the Charlton and Greater London area, ensuring timely deliveries. * Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliveries and routes efficiently. * Attention to detail, ensuring all deliveries are accurate and paperwork is completed correctly. * Excellent communication and customer service skills, as you will be representing the company when dealing with clients. Shift Details: * Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. * Regular working hours with consistent shifts, providing a good work-life balance.
