Job Role: HGV Technician / Shift Supervisor Location: Saint Leonards on Sea Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role Working hours / days: Monday - Friday - 06:30 - 15:30 Hourly Rate: £21.68 Overtime Monday - Saturday paid at £32.52 per hour OvertimeSundays & Bank holidays paid at £43.36 per hour If you work a bank holiday (Optional), you will be given an extra days holiday in lieu Are you an experienced HGV Technician? My client is a well-established service & maintenance workshop facility that specialises in heavy commercial vehicles. At this time, they have an opening for an HGV Technician to join them to work on a Monday -Friday DAY SHIFT TheHGV Technician will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5t trucks to tractor units and everything in between. You will also have the responsibility of supervising the workshop and HGV Technicians on site HGV Technician Daily duties: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertakenin a timely manner Undertake MOT inspections along with preparations. Present fully prepared vehicles for their MOT test if you hold a heavy vehicle driving licence, those that don't have the required licence will be given driver training after a qualifying period Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy Allocate work to HGV Technicians Undertake quality control on all works carried out by the team HGV Technician Working Days / Hours / Rates: This role is available on a DAY SHIFT Monday - Friday - 06:30 - 15:30 Basic rate of £21.68 per hour with overtime available at time and a half Monday - Saturday and double time for Sundays and Bank holidays What we need from you: Completed an HGV Technician apprenticeship Have supervisory experience Hold City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three qualifications Your own tools Full UK driving license Class 1 license would be beneficial but isnt essential for this role To make an application for this HGV Technician role, apply via this advert or alternatively call Gary on (phone number removed) for further information.
