LCL Import Coordinator

Our client, a well-established global logistics provider offering multi-modal freight forwarding solutions and who pride themselves on innovation and ensuring customer care is met to the highest level within their growing digital world, are looking to recruit an LCL Import Coordinator, to based in offices in Basildon, Essex. On Offer: * The opportunity to gain experience and grow within a fast-expanding global logistics provider * Monday – Friday working pattern, 08.30 to 17.30 with 1 Hour for lunch * The opportunity to work within a new and renovated office environment - modern kitchen, self-serve coffee machines, microwave, fridge/freezer. Use of TV, Pool table, ping pong table plus an arcade machine. * An attractive salary from £25,000 - £28,000, dependant on age and experience. * Position after 6 month’s probation also has a contributory pension, NHS Top up health scheme and after first full year of employment an extra day per year annual leave, capped at 25 days. Main Purpose of the Role: Reporting to the Sea Freight Import Supervisor and working in a team of three, you will be handling LCL ( Sea) import operations from start to finish whilst providing exemplary customer service to the client base. Duties and Responsibilities of the LCL Import Operator: * Handling company LCL consolidations imported to the UK from China * Liaising with the company’s China offices for local China arrangements * Liaising with all local UK suppliers * Liaising with Customs Dept to arrange customs clearances * Liaising with own and other 3rd party ERTS and general warehouses * Liaising with local transport companies to organise final end deliveries To Be Considered: * Ideally import customs entry experience * Ideally experience with Bill of Lading and sea import freight forwarding operations * Good telephone manner with strong customer service skills * Ability to multi-task For more details, please contact Willis Global – a leading Recruitment Consultancy for the Supply Chain and Logistics industry
