The Opportunity
Our client is one of the largest Engineering consultancies in the UK. They are currently searching for a Tekla Designer to join their team operating out of Bristol.
You will be joining a team currently working across multiple projects, with the main one being the new build nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode3, ETC-C and Edvance internal guidance's.
Liaising with the building layout and Civil teams to coordinate the design.
Maintaining Edvance's QA procedures in delivering the SW design.
Working with the SW engineers in the preparation of the design drawings/models.
Reporting progression in team meetings.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Design office experience.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Knowledge of 3D tools, and capability to produce high quality 2D drawings.
Previous experience in SW design.It’s great if you also have the following
Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous.
Experience of dealing with design and layout constraints.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
