Workshop Supervisor Position Overview: Job Title: Workshop Supervisor Location: Corby Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour lunch break) Contract: Permanent, paid monthlyKey Responsibilities of the Workshop Supervisor: Maintenance & Scheduling: Work with the Distribution Manager to plan maintenance and servicing of company vehicles. Workshop Coordination: Manage workflow and resource allocation for optimal use of manpower and facilities. Quality Standards Compliance: Ensure vehicle maintenance aligns with Fleet Engineer standards, incorporating updates on any new legislation. Operational Communication: Communicate any vehicle downtime impacting operations to the Distribution department. MOT & Documentation: Coordinate MOT preparation and bookings, maintaining all vehicle records, including defect reports. Cost-Effective Repairs: Make informed decisions on repair or replacement to ensure economical maintenance practices. External Repairs Coordination: Organise specialist services, including warranty repairs and tire servicing, in consultation with the Fleet Engineer. Equipment Safety: Ensure workshop equipment is maintained in safe working condition, compliant with legislative standards. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics to assist in workshop duties when required, Demonstrable experience within a vehicle workshop setting. Preferred Qualifications (can be provided): LGV license, Knowledge of bulk tanker pressure systems and Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Transport (or equivalent).Why Join This Company?
