First Call Contract Services are currently looking to recruit a Transport Planner for our clients busy operations based in Runcorn, WA7.
This role is being recruited on a permanent basis.
Immediate interviews & starts are available.
Candidate duties and experience will include:
- Assign work to drivers and their required mates maximising both vehicle and manpower utilisation.
- Ensure the drivers and mates adhere to the relevant operating procedures.
- Undertake transport planning on a daily basis to ensure that the appropriate fleet is deployed to meet customer service requirements.
- Ensure all drivers and mates are fully inducted into their roles and that training sessions are fully supported.
- Ensure that all vehicles and associated equipment are operated in the appropriate manner.
- Ensure that all transport statistics are produced in a timely fashion for internal and external meetings.
- Complete processing of orders, production of pick lists and despatch notes and load sheets in accordance with depot procedures.
Ideally candidates will have worked in a warehouse or transport planning roles, have excellent administration skills and be able to manage a very busy, varied workload.
Hours or work are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm, however a potential 5.30pm finish may be introduced.
Starting salary is £28kpa depending on experience + Excellent Company Benefits including 26 days holiday + BH.
