Cyber Security Engineering Manager
Salary: Up £130,000 Depending on experience + Discretionary Bonus + Additional Corporate Benefits Package
Location: Nationwide
Working Pattern : Remote (Occasional visit to closest office)
The Client: A leading financial services firm requires a Cyber Security Engineering Manager!
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive security engineering strategy that aligns with the bank's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Develop technical standards, aligned to Security Standards, and put in place monitoring and enforce solutions. Conduct regular assessments of network infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security requirements.
Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement secure network designs and configurations. Define and oversee network access controls and segmentation strategies.
Evaluate, select, and implement security tools and technologies to enhance the organisation's security posture.
Establish and maintain a governance framework for managing cryptographic keys and digital certificates. Develop and enforce policies and procedures for key and certificate lifecycle management. Monitor and audit key and certificate usage to ensure compliance and prevent unauthorised access.
Regularly report to senior management and the board on the status of the bank's security posture, including risks, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Extensive Managerial Experience, managing various stakeholders.
We need you to have:
Significant experience in security engineering, including designing, implementing, and managing complex security solutions and initiatives.
Proven track record in network security governance, including the development and enforcement of policies, standards, and guidelines.
Extensive experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing security tools and technologies to enhance security capabilities.
Demonstrated expertise in the governance of keys and certificates, including the establishment of frameworks and procedures for their management.
Strong background in incident response and management, including the development and execution of incident response plans and procedures
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential:
Azure Development Pipeline or other similar pipeline
Incident response experience
Familiarity with relevant security regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
