Your Responsibilities:
- Create transport plans for general haulage operations to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Optimise routing and scheduling of vehicles to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage drivers, providing clear instructions and support regarding routes, schedules, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor and adjust transport plans as necessary to address changes in demand or unforeseen issues.
- Maintain vehicle records related to usage, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition and scheduled for regular servicing.
- Ensure all general haulage operations comply with relevant regulations, including health and safety, environmental policies, and legal requirements.
- Stay up to date with changes in transport legislation and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in transport planning software.
- Proven experience in transport planning, particularly within the general haulage sector.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
