Our client are a firm of leading chartered accountants across London and the Home Counties. They are currently seeking a tax professional who will join them as an Audit Manager/Senior Manager. About the Responsibilities:
Joining as an Audit Manager/Senior Manager you will be reporting into the Audit Partner and responsible for: Audit of a large range of corporate clients including groups and overseas subsidiaries
Reporting directly to Partners and liaising with other managers as required
Planning, supervision and review of audit and accounts cases including preparing notes for partners
Main point of contact with clients and liaising with clients both face to face and on the phone/video- link/email on day to day issues
Assisting staff with technical accounting and auditing problems
Developing the audit function in house and synchronising with the other offices
Supervision and development of staff and providing leadership to the department
Marketing activities and promoting firm within the local market
Assisting in preparation and delivery of pitches for new clients
Billing and monitoring actual costs against budgets and reporting to partners on variances.
Drafting bills on a monthly basis for review by partners.
Liaising with the Corporate Business Tax department in relation to the preparation and review of corporation tax computations.
About the Applicant:
As the successful applicant, you will: ACA/ACCA Qualified
Have 2-3 years PQE within practice with client turnovers circa £100M
Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing
A working knowledge of accounting software
Able to deal confidently and effectively with clients, staff and partners
Able to provide on the job training for staff as appropriate
Able to multi-task
Self-starter who looks for solutions and makes recommendations
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
Proven managerial skills and experience
Confident in marketing, networking and pitching to potential clients
A passion to become part of a growing team and help to promote the technical expertise of the team and increase its profile both internally and externally
Ability to manage and prioritise your own work to ensure you meet all deadlines
About the Benefits: Basic Salary up to £75,000
