Performance Marketing Manager Vacancy - Motor Trade Location: Northampton Area Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 Ref: OC18993 Hours: Monday - Friday 09.00am - 17.30pm (60mins lunch) Hybrid available for 2 days per week, must be local to Northampton We are currently recruiting for a Performance Marketing Manager for our fantastic client based in the Northampton Area. This is a great opportunity for a Performance Marketing Manager to work for a fantastic main dealer group in a busy and established environment The primary purpose of Performance Marketing Manager is responsibility for development and delivery of the paid acquisition strategy. The Performance Marketing Manager will work collaboratively within the marketing team and relevant stakeholders within the business to develop, manage, analyse, and optimise campaigns that drive leads from paid for channels into the various business lines. The Performance Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimising various digital marketing channels to drive measurable results and quality leads. These channels will include: Paid Search (PPC): Managing campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Bing Ads. Display Advertising: Utilising display networks to place banner ads on relevant websites. Social Media Advertising: Running paid campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn Affiliate Marketing: Partnering with affiliates to promote products or services and drive conversions. Programmatic Advertising: Using automated systems to buy and place ads in real-time. Content Discovery Platforms: Promoting content through platforms like Taboola and Outbrain They will take ownership of tracking and reporting on campaigns and provide accurate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting and managing external agency relationships. Support the integration and success of the Group through proactive communication and information sharing across departments, functions, and regions. Digital Strategy Deliver an acquisition strategy to drive leads to all relevant Perrys verticals across all digital channels including PPC, performance max, paid social, display, affiliates, programmatic and third-party partner sites. Deliver ad account structures within each channel that supports lead generation across all areas of the business at a group and/or a local level such as new vehicle manufacturer led campaigns, group event campaigns, used vehicle always on campaigns, finance always on campaigns, aftersales campaigns etc. Grow and improve paid channel performance sustainably. Build interest in Perrys products and services within audiences at the higher end of the purchasing funnel by using relevant, engaging content and messaging. Target audiences at lower end of the purchasing funnel with high intent-based keywords and engaging advert content to convert them to a quality leads. Managing the acquisition budget effectively and efficiently. Campaign Delivery Delivering, monitoring and optimising campaigns using the relevant native platforms alongside specific reporting tools and tracking facilities such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker etc. Ensuring that online campaigns integrate with offline activity where appropriate and relevant. Work effectively as part of a project team to deliver integrated group campaigns. Creative Development Working collaboratively within the marketing team and with agency teams to brief in and deliver creative and compliant messages. Competent in the use of content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud to support asset creation within the team. Competent in the use of CMS and similar tools to support the creation of suitable campaign landing pages and additional content. Measurement and Reporting Working within the marketing team to set up campaign tracking including the correct lead routing for phone calls and form submissions, as well as effective tagging to measure performance. Monitor and reporting campaign performance to the marketing team using the native platforms alongside The Data Refinery. Some experience with analytical or statistical data manipulations tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker or BigQuery would be desirable.Change Management Research and advise on new external technology-driven marketing initiatives focusing on customer acquisition. Support change throughout the business to ensure good lead handling is a priority.People Management Line management of one direct report who supports in the execution of the paid acquisition plan. Coaching and development of direct report to ensure they are competent and have the tools and equipment to do their role.Data Management & Compliance Ensure that all marketing activities are compliant and operate within current FCA and Consumer Duty legislation and guidance. Ensure that any customer data used, accessed or retained is secure and that access and use are effectively managed under current data protection legislation. Ensure that any campaign performance data is collected adhering to the latest legislation for cookie capture and consent. Ensure that own data and emails comply with data protection legislation and that emails and other documents are kept appropriately in line with legislative requirements.Skills: Essential: Experience managing and optimising large paid social campaigns on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or TikTok. Experience managing and optimising large paid search campaigns on Google ads. Experience managing and being accountable for large marketing budgets. Active interest in researching and monitoring new and emerging channels as an opportunity for lead generation. Experience in managing paid digital display campaigns. The ability to use GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Analytical skills comfortable in interpreting, manipulating and visualising data. A wide range of knowledge & best practice in the digital marketing space. The ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to change within the business as it grows and evolves. A comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Resilient and determined, enjoys challenge and able to overcome them positively. Proven experience in prioritising and dealing with high volume workloads. Desirable: Experience in using Content Management Systems and/or visual web development tools. Experience in using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software. Understanding and experience of affiliate marketing. Understanding and experience with programmatic advertising.
