Buyer

Our client, a world-leading EV powertrain OEM, renowned for their technology and elegant re-powering of classic cars, are currently looking to hire a Buyer (EV). The successful candidate will focus on managing vendor relationships and will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders.   The Buyer (EV) will: Be responsible for monitoring supplier performance and developing improvement programmes. Maintain supplier details on the procurement system and review of supplier performance. Source and place orders for contract and non-contract items using manual requisitions and digital parts requisition systems. Adjust parts system component parameters to achieve on time availability and appropriate batch sizes. Progress and chase outstanding PO’s in liaison with Production management. Control goods inwards, and stock management.   The Buyer (EV) will have: Proven history in working as a buyer in a small to medium enterprise. Knowledge of automotive parts. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) A can-do attitude, working well on own initiative as well as being part of the wider team. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and data.
