Purpose of the role
An excellent opportunity has become available to join CIL as a QHSE Compliance Support Officer, due to the exciting and continuous company growth. The role will primarily involve supporting our QHSE Compliance Officer and working along side them to carry out various Health & Safety, Compliance and administration activities. As well as, supporting the implementation of a QHSE Strategy within the business.
Primary duties & responsibilities
- To support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the business management system, whilst meeting requirements of; ISO9001, AS9100 and ISO13485 certifications
- Support with investigation of incidents and near misses ensuring all documentation is updated and action plans are completed
- To consult employees on health and safety issues and to support and develop the role of the company s HSE committee
- Management of pool car use
- Ordering, issuing and reporting of PPE
- To generate and maintain records for QHSE compliance e.g. risk assessments, COSHH assessments, noise assessments and other specialist assessments
- To support the QHSE team with their relevant activities
- Arranging training e.g. First Aid At Work Training, Mental Health First Aider Training, General Safety Training
- To support customer compliance requests that arise from queries, including conflict mineral statements
- To support with Internal Audit planning, progress monitoring, reporting of nonconformities and closure of nonconformities in a timely and effective manner
- To support in the generation, analysis and reporting of QHSE KPI data
- To attend to department and other QHSE meetings
- To support in the training of other team members
- General administration tasks and support as required by the business
The ideal person will demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience working in Health & Safety, ideally within a manufacturing/production environment
- Excellent organisation, team-work and communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ideally auditor training in one or more of the following: ISO9001, AS9100 and ISO13485
- IOSH or NEBOSH Qualifications are advantageous
- Full UK Driving License is preferred due to working across multiple sites in Andover
