SEN Teaching Assistant
Sugarman Education have an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work in an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Special Educational Needs School.
The school requires a caring and resilient individual, who is confident in supporting children with SEN.

The Role:
The role is full time (5 days per week. 8.30am - 4.00pm) for the successful candidate
This is a long term role to start in January 2025 and continue for the academic year
You will be supporting children with Autism, Social Communication Difficulties and associated behaviours in small groups and one to one.
The role will be to start as soon as possible and continue on the next Academic Year.
The School offers personal development for all staff members, you will often have the opportunity to attend additional training.
The School:
The School caters for children aged 3 - 18 years old with Autism, Social Communication Difficulties, Complex Needs and associated behaviours.
The classes are small with 6 - 8 children per class
The head teacher is highly effective and is relentless in her drive for continued improvement.
The curriculum is presented and supported in a variety of ways. It is practical, functionally based and supports lifelong learning.
The Candidate:
Will have UK classroom experience
Ideally have experience working with children with Autism and associated behaviours.
PECS, MAKATON, TEAACH or TEAM TEACH would be an advantage but not necessary.
Excel at building great relationships with pupils and staff
Have a current DBS on the update service
Be available to start ASAP and continue for the Academic year.
