As a Supply Chain Manager (SCM), you will work closely withmultiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfillingcustomer orders to Program teams and everything in between. You’ll help usoptimise our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and ourbusiness more energy and cost efficient. Key job responsibilities - Define supply chain and operating models for various businesses - Analyse and interpret data to improve efficiency across supply chains andmultiple operations - Partner with teams to advise on and manage operational challenges - Support the planning and organisation of complex projects A day in the life Being a Supply Chain Manager for Amazon involves lots of problem solving.You’ll work with a number of teams to navigate challenges as and whensituations impact our network. You’ll spend time resolving temporary issuesand looking at the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards achieving newobjectives. As a Supply Chain Manager, you’ll need to help with both on-the-ground tasksand more tactical work. No two days will be the same. You could spend one dayhelping to define our supply chain and operating models and the next assistingwith a site’s resource plan for a busy period. Having so much variety in yourrole means you’ll be able to learn something new every day. About the team Amazon couldn’t deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service(ATS) team. As part of ATS, you’ll be welcomed into a diverse team that playsa central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well assortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’stransport run at maximum efficiency. And we use the expertiseof our people to get packages to their destination – quickly, conveniently andsustainably. ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- A degree - Relevant experience leading cross-functional programmes or projects usingproject-management methodologies - Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influencebusiness decisions - Relevant experience leading complex projects with a wide range ofstakeholders, including your peers and leadership - Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) andorSQL in a professional environment ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position atAmazon. If you have all the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hear fromyou. - Advanced or master’s degree - Project-management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar - Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma orLean - Experience working in an operational environment or with technical teams - Phython andor Java Scripting proficiency is highly desired.
