SEND Teaching Assistant Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Lewisham Job Type: Full-Time hours Salary: Competitive, based on experience £85 - £100 per day Job Duties: Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their educational and personal development Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons according to individual student needs Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND to help them access the curriculum Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students Collaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to support student progress Working with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour, Complex needs. Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree (desirable) Experience working with students with SEND Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of the education system and SEND regulations Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed Working Conditions: Work in a school setting, supporting students with SEND Full-time hours, following the school term calendar Collaborative work with teachers, parents, and external professionals We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.
