I am working with a leading design firm in London who are looking for a new IT Desktop Specialist to join them on a permanent basis. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a brilliant organisation and a team of 4 in the IT Team supporting the organisation's 200+ staff. Job Title: IT Desktop Specialist Location: London (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day from Home during Probation) (Potentially dropping to 3/2 Split after Probation) Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 Start: ASAP Responsibilities: Provide First and Second-Line Support : Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware (computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices) and software (Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Autodesk). Remote Support : Offer remote assistance to employees working from home or in regional offices. System Management: Assist with system builds, software installations, and configurations. IT Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members to address complex issues and ensure efficient operations. Onboarding and Offboarding : Manage the IT aspects of new employee onboarding and departing employee offboarding processes. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating to appropriate individuals or companies when necessary. Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation on systems and procedures for the IT team's reference. Application Support: Provide technical and functional support for various applications, portals, software, and equipment used in the business. Network Support : Support devices and users on a Windows network, including Windows computers, laptops, and Active Directory. Device Deployment : Deploy computers, laptops, and devices to users and provide ongoing maintenance. Security Compliance : Ensure compliance with security protocols and industry-related accreditations (e.g., Cyber Essentials, GDPR). Reporting : Create, monitor, and report on cumulative summary spreadsheets. Ad-Hoc Projects : Assist with various ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the operations. Software Deployment and Updates: Assist in deploying and updating software across the organization (Autodesk, Adobe, Microsoft, and others). 365 Suite Administration: Assist with administering the Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra)
