About The Role
Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Project Development Manager to work on our UKPN contract in Bury St Edmunds.
As a/the Project Development Manager you will be part of our FEED Team who are responsible for developing UKPN projects from Concept design.
As the Development Manager you will be part of our Design and estimating Team, working with the client to produce early engagement to support the ED2 programme of works. across the UKPN Alliance portfolio in the EPN area.
Morrison Energy Services is part of the UKPN Alliance undertaking the upgrade of infrastructure replacement programme element of its capital investment programme. The contract includes programme management, design, delivery and technical support across East Anglia (EPN area)
As the Project Development Manager your responsibilities will include:
Following the clients governance procedure to early engagement of projects
Dealing with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally to support the delivery of High Voltage substation upgrade projects.
Production of Initial Project Execution Plan and Scope for Concept Design Professional Services Contract;
Completion of Concept Design and determination of project Target Budget based on Employer CUs;
Agree Scope and Target Budget freeze with Asset Management;
Update Gate B Project Execution Plan;
Obtain Activity Information Pack acceptance from Delivery Members prior Employer’s Gate B Mandate being approved.
Obtain Employer’s Gate B governance approval.
Updating the design programme
Liaison with design team and design subcontractors for concept and detailed design.
Manage team to undertake survey works Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Ideally Chartered Engineer (ie MICE, MIET, MIMechE) or relevant experience
Good facilitation and organisation skills to effectively support the project in general.
High degree of commercial and contractual awareness.
Ideally with experience working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
Ability to provide a high quality, professional service to the wider programme.
A clear focus on customer/stakeholder needs.
Intermediate user capabilities in MS Word, Excel and Power Point What’s in it for you?
