Centre Admin / PA Temporary role 3 months + On-site in Central London Higher Education ASAP start

Our client is a highly reputable Russell Group University based nearCentral London - this university specialises in public research. They are currently recruiting for a proactive Centre Administrator / PA on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month period on a full-time basis.
Your new role

  • To provide administrative, and secretarial support to the Centre Lead and Deputy Centre Lead, Laboratory or Centre Manager and other assigned members of staff in their execution of tasks
  • To help organise the diary, to ensure priorities are responded to first, reminders of appointments and deadlines, ensuring there is a high level of organisation in the office and providing feedback on matters that they should be aware of.
  • Responsible for recruitment process for staff and students in the Centre.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of all centre activities.
  • Organising travel and accommodation for overseas conferences as necessary.
  • Organising meetings and training programmes as relevant as well as room bookings.
  • Raising Purchase Orders and Purchase Card reconciliation
  • Responsible for and coordinating the various tasks in the Centres including: staff induction, probation, appraisals, staff access cards for the Centre, record of academic visitors, insurance cover for staff overseas trips.
  • Other adhoc general administrative tasks, such as maintaining the office, collecting and distributing posts.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the higher education sector.
  • Experience as a Personal Assistant, as well as experience in either or both HR or Finance as a minimum.
  • Experience of diary and agenda management, and time-management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a keen attention to detail and organisational skills.,
  • Experience managing and prioritising a varied workload, working well under pressure and a flexible attitude to work.
  • Able to travel on-site 5 days a week.
