CAD Designer/Design Engineer

A CAD Designer/Design Engineer is needed to join a strong Engineering & Manufacturing team based in Stockport. The successful candidate will have exceptional CAD skills and a deep knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing industry. Description Produce detailed, technical drawings for design solutions withing the Engineering Design team. Check, Edit and Maintain drawings and other Technical Documentation. Prepare technical documents such as specifications, reports, manuals, procedures. Support hardware development and testing. Compile technical documents and test specifications. Interpret technical specifications. Liaise with suppliers and purchasing functions. Provide support for the production, test and field engineering teams. Support the sales team with bids and quotations.Profile A successful CAD Designer/Design Engineer should have: Experience working within an Engineering team and Design Department Extensive proficiency in CAD software. Proven experience of BoM management and configuration. Knowledge and use of Geometrical Tolerances, ISO and ASME technical drawing standards. Strong knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing industry and its design standards. Exceptional communication and coordination skills.
