To support our growth, we’re seeking Accounting Team Leader to lead our dynamic team and drive exceptional service to our customers. Role Overview: As our Accounting Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading a customer-focused front office accounting team in delivering day to day customer queries, along with the pipeline of client Corporation Tax and Self-assessment tax filings. You’ll ensure smooth operations, foster a positive customer experience, and drive process improvements that support our expanding customer base. Having exposure to the founders and leadership team, you will be involved with contributing to decision making, product development and company objectives. Key Responsibilities: * Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the customer accounting team, providing guidance, training, and development to ensure high performance and efficiency. * Customer Account Management: Oversee all aspects of Corporation Tax preparation and annual account filings. * Customer Support: Act as a point of escalation for complex queries, working closely with the team to resolve customer accounting issues swiftly and professionally. * Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes, implementing automation and improvements to enhance efficiency. * Reporting: Provide regular reports to the leadership team on key metrics, including outstanding accounts, aged filings, and filing turnaround performance. * Collaboration: Work closely with technology, marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from signup to conversion. * Compliance & Risk Management: Keep up to date with tax and regulation changes, ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. What We’re Looking For: * Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in a client/customer facing accounting (ideally company Corporation Tax) role, with at least 1-2 years of team leadership experience. * Qualifications: Fully Qualified ACCA is highly desirable. * Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate, mentor and manage a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment. * Customer-Focused: A passion for delivering excellent customer service, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Tech-Savvy: Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage), MSOffice, and not afraid of learning new applications and platforms. * Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. * Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and changing priorities.
