Behaviour Intervention Manager Location: Bromley Salary: £26,994 – £28,810 per annum (Depending on Experience) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Are you passionate about helping students overcome behavioural challenges and fostering a positive learning environment? GSL Education London are looking for a Behaviour Intervention Manager to join a secondary school in Bromley.  As a Behaviour Intervention Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a positive school environment, promoting good behaviour, and addressing challenges head-on. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Year Leads, and attendance staff to identify behaviour issues and disengagement and implement targeted intervention strategies. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping students improve their behaviour and re-engage with their education. Responsibilities of Behaviour Intervention Manager: Ensure students in the Internal Exclusion Room stay on track with their learning, following the assigned work programme and making progress accordingly. Organize learning resources and manage the effective use of ICT tools to support students' learning. Assist in running after-school detentions within the Academy. Plan an exit strategy and monitor identified pupils following their return to classes from the exclusion room Maintain the behaviour management monitoring of each pupil on Arbor and provide individual reports when requested.. Support the implementation and monitoring of behaviour management systems to remove learning barriers and promote effective learning. Communicate with parents and carers regarding student behaviour, as required. Participate in school events such as open mornings, welcome evenings, parents' evenings, and other similar activities. Commit to ongoing professional development and growth. Regularly liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Key Leadership Team on student welfare, attendance, and behaviour matters, maintaining detailed records of actions taken. Assist in supervising students on educational trips and participate in extracurricular activities as necessary. Work cooperatively with other members of the Pastoral Team covering and actively supporting each other as and when necessary. Behaviour Intervention Manager Job Requirements: Previous experience in a behaviour management or intervention role within a school. A relevant qualification in behaviour management or a related area (preferred but not essential). Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work with staff, students, and families. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations. A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices. Why Choose GSL? Competitive pay rates.
