ob Title: Counterbalance Forklift Driver & Yard Worker Location: Exeter, UK Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00am - 5:00 pm Hourly Rate: £12.25 Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (12-week minimum) Responsibilities: Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to transport materials within the recycling company's yard. Assist with yard work tasks as needed, including sorting, stacking, and organizing recyclable materials. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard area to facilitate smooth operations. Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding waste disposal and recycling practices. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to the supervisor promptly. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management. The candidate must ensure that they log all pallets into and out of the storage area using pre-defined paperwork and hand held scanners. Requirements: Valid counterbalance forklift license and demonstrated experience operating the equipment. This is accessible by public transport. Physical work, lifting up to 25kg, sweeping and general maintenance. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Willingness to comply with safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety boots and hi-vis clothing.
