Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Estimator looking to be part of a dynamic team? We are searching for a passionate and skilled professional to join our growing company in Newport, Wales. If you have a solid background in reinforced concrete frames and structures, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be part of a truly supportive and collaborative team that values your expertise and contributions. Youll work on projects ranging from £1M to £8M, with the exciting chance to take on larger, long-term projects valued at up to £18M over three years. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects and truly make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience:Bring your 5+ years of QS/Estimator experience, particularly in reinforced concrete frames and structures, to hit the ground running.
  • Tendering and Strategy:Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Construction teams to review and build up tenders. You will evaluate tender information and develop strong bid and procurement strategies alongside the wider team.
  • Procurement:Source and procure materials, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure competitive pricing and reliability.
  • Estimating:Prepare accurate estimates, bills of quantities (BQs), and take-offs for a range of projects.
  • Financial Control:Oversee project-specific financials from contract review to the final account stage, maintaining a keen eye on project cost control.
  • Reporting:Prepare and deliver Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports to Senior Management.
  • Contracts:Utilize your knowledge and experience with NEC and JCT contracts to manage contractual obligations and legal matters that arise during projects.
  • Client Relations:You will liaise with clients regularly to maintain strong relationships and secure future business.
What Were Looking For:
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft packages is essential.
  • Experience managing both medium (£1M-£8M) and larger (£18M) long-term projects.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Enthusiasm for working as part of a close-knit team, where your ideas and input will be valued.
