Salary: £26,421 - £28,770 (pro-rata) Location: Leeds Hours: Part-time (rotational shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins) Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to thrive in a safe, caring, and positive environment? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate part-time Residential Support Workers to join our team in Children's Homes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Key Responsibilities: Support and safeguard children and young people in residential care, helping them to develop, build self-esteem, and contribute positively to their families and society. Act as a key worker, managing care plans, conducting risk assessments, and supporting emotional, physical, and educational needs. Foster strong relationships with children through daily routines, joint activities, and positive behaviour management. Assist with personal care tasks for children with disabilities or complex needs, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and feeding. Collaborate with families, professionals, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children in your care. Maintain accurate records and ensure all care provided complies with health, safety, and confidentiality standards.What We're Looking For: Essential Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete this qualification within 2 years. Recent experience working with children or vulnerable adults in a paid or voluntary capacity, especially those with emotional or behavioural challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children, young people, and a range of professionals. Ability to manage challenging behaviour using restorative approaches and de-escalation techniques.
