We're looking for a keen, social media-savvy individual who can enhance our content and build strong online communities across Snapchat, Facebook, and other social platforms.

The Growth and Publishing Strategist will be responsible for supporting sourcing, packaging and strategising. We publish up to twenty video stories per day on all social media platforms. The job of the publishing strategist is to support the Growth and Publishing Lead in the rapid creation and delivery of our video news content, as well as supporting on wider social media strategy.
You'll work closely with the producers and wider production team to learn the process of journalistic video content creation in a fast-paced publishing environment. With the opportunity to learn about social publishing, social analytics, video editing and social content creation (creating posts, scheduling content, script writing etc.)
What you'll be doing day to day
Support the Growth and Publishing Lead in ensuring the publishing of high-quality, high-volume content output across all PN owned and operated social channels, with a primary focus on Snapchat and TikTok
- Contribute to overall growth and publishing strategy across all social channels
- Expert use of data and analytics to inform strategy
- Contribute to monthly content reports
- Publish daily on TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Source viral funny, unique or satisfying UGC videos
- Liaise with third party content providers to license content
- Responsible for UGC channels, collaborating with Producers for original reactions and editing and posting said content
- Pitch relevant news or 'features' stories daily
- Video editing using Premiere Pro
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience in social media content creation and/or publishing
- Ability to work independently to support the team, being proactive and offering support as needed
- Interested in developing a career in social video content creation and social media strategy
- Native understanding of social platforms such as Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok
- Experience in generating organic growth on a personal / brand social account
- Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and/or Canva
- Understanding of media law and licensing of online content
- A keen interest in LGBTQ+ culture, both pop and political
- An eye for viral content amongst a range of social platforms
- Experience in Meta / Snap / TikTok / YT strategy
- Knowledge of Gen Z culture, pop-culture and trending influencers
