Job Summary CDW’s Solution Sales organisation is in place to collaborate with sales and to be responsible for delivering high value outcomes and experiences to our existing and prospective customers across a variety of technology growth pillars including Hybrid Platforms, Modern Workspace, Security and Digital Enablement. The Solution Sales organisation is made up predominantly of Business Development Professionals (sales specialists) and various levels of Solution Architects (presales technical resource). The role of the Business Development Manager, Mimecast is focused on the below 5 areas: Understand and Maintain an in-depth understanding of Security challenges and the Mimecast’ Security Portfolio to actively and successfully drive positive business and profitable outcomes for both CDW and our customers Be experienced in running and co-running (alongside the CDW sales teams and Solution Sales) a professional and winning sales engagement Be able to proactively build value adding sales initiatives that build mindshare within CDW and that generates business Be able to build strong and credible relationship with the internal sales teams and wider stakeholder community Be experienced in building strong pipeline in an overlay sales approach Key responsibilities This role will be responsible for maximizing revenue and GP growth by driving close partnerships both internally and externally and aligning with the Mimecast and CDW’s growth objectives. This will be supported with joint initiatives as per an agreed business plan. Establish new relationships within Mimecast, CDW and externally within the client/prospect base Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives/KPI’s, including winning new Mimecast customers Work in close partnership with the internal CDW Sales and Specialist teams to identify new opportunities whilst driving proactive development of converged pipeline. Work in conjunction with Partner Management Team to help deliver the agreed joint business plan against defined milestones & metrics Maintain and own any certifications requirements that support the vendor accreditation requirements Understand and promote all relevant programs and promotions to maximize the sales opportunity. Own and manage the Mimecast and associated services pipeline and forecast Qualifications, Skills & Experience Demonstrable experience in delivering successful sales growth performance – running a structured sales cycle from start to finish An existing understanding of email security and general Cyber Security market Experience of working in sales environments and contributing to sales proposals, bid responses and customer meetings Excellent interpersonal skills (articulate and engaging) Experience in building positive working relationships with internal and external customer Strong planning, organisation and reporting skills Essential Attributes Proactive approach to building relationships Positive and energetic attitude Self-starter and ability to work independently acting on own initiative Desire to “do the right thing” Takes Personal Ownership of work and interactions Tenacity/persistence and an assertive mentality Demonstrates attention to detail Competent on Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint Proactive in seeking personal improvement Agile approach to mobile working More about CDW and your career with us: At CDW, you’ll work with people who inspire you.
