Advanced Recruit are recruiting on behalf of a specialised Structural Steel company in Wolverhampton, who due to growth, are seeking a highly experienced Sales and Estimating Manager. You will be required to manage the workflow of the sales & estimating process, take line management responsibility for the Sales & Estimating team and provide high level administrative support. This is a newly created role to provide structure and accountability to the sales & estimating team. You will be responsible for a growing team of qualified and experienced technical estimators as well as a departmental administrator. The Sales & Estimating department within the business is responsible for dealing with and responding to customer enquiries, producing quotes and receiving and managing orders into the business. As well as professional line management. Responsibilities * Take initial enquiries and qualify through communication with the customer the initial details to allow the estimating team to understand the overview scope * Support the development of and own the sales CRM database ensuring new enquiries are entered, and all enquiries are always up to date * Produce management reports and attend regular meetings with management and senior management to present and discuss these reports * Take responsibility for the effective communication of queries to and from the Sales & Estimating team and senior management * Ensure enquiry status is always understood through regular follow up with customers – either completing this yourself or ensuring the team are following up as required * Communicating clearly with other departments the status of enquiries applicable to them, to allow them to plan accordingly * Manage the workflow within and out of the Sales & Estimating team once an order has been received to ensure accuracy and timeliness are constantly improved, and look for and implement opportunities for improvement within this process * Ensure project handover meetings are prepared for and scheduled, and chair these meetings in the absence of the Commercial Director Essential Experience ‍ * With proven experience in managing a team of Sales Professionals in an office environment. * Highly computer literate and has exemplary communication skills * Has experience of a sales and estimating processes. * Preferred experience working with Steelwork such as Secondary Steelwork/Access Steelwork. * CRM experience (advantageous) ‍For further information or to apply for a potentially immediate interview, please apply with your CV on CV Library and one of our consultants will be in touch
