An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Site Manager A leading contractor who has been delivering remediation, reclamation, enabling works, earthworks and infrastructure projects for over 40 years across the UK, has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join their team. As a Site Manager working on the remediation schemes you will have overall responsibility for a specific site. You will be managing the overall day to day operation of the site and lead successful project delivery on behalf of the company by ensuring that the site team are fully appraised of the contract parameters and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives. Key Responsibilities: * Day to Day management of site activities, including supervising and monitoring the site operations and carrying out briefings as necessary * Preparation of CPP, RAMS, Quality and Environmental Plan in advance of the commencement of the works and ensuring compliance by the site team. * Working closely with the project team including subcontractors, engineers, QS, and more coordinating and managing all activities onsite * Understand and implement company SHEQ requirements on site in line with policies and procedures. * Maintaining and demonstrating high safety standards and ensure the site is a safe and tidy place to work and visit. * Keeping site records and registers up to date in line with internal quality assurance procedures. * Management, optimising and updating the project programme * Liaise and maintain good working relationship with the Client and the Clients team. * Liaise with stakeholders and other third parties, projecting a professional image at all times Qualifications and Experience: * Must have a minimum of 5 years’ site management experience in contaminated land remediation including former town gas works remediation. * Excellent project management expertise, including planning and risk management * Hold a relevant qualification such as degree, HND/HNC or similar or have compensating experience * SMSTS * CSCS Black or Gold card * SHEA Gas * SCO 1 & 2 * First Aid Certificate * Full UK driving licence * Flexibility to work on site across the UK * Good commercial and contractual knowledge and awareness * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Good analytical & problem solving skills. * Methodical approach to tasks undertaken. * Ability to work on own and as part of a team.
