Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Barnsley
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a distribution centre. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facility equipment while supporting the Maintenance Lead in maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine checks and maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Assist in overseeing contractors on-site and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of equipment, including MHE, floor cleaners, loading docks, and doors.
• Conduct welding work and assist in maintaining the vehicle wash and fuel areas.
• Report and address any equipment defects, and support accident reporting processes.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a maintenance technician, ideally within a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
