GCP DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer (GCP Migration Focus) Location: Bracknell On-site requirements: 2 days/month Rate: £375/day (inside IR35) Duration: 6 months We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with expertise in cloud migration, specifically to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong skills in infrastructure automation and cloud services, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage infrastructure on GCP using Terraform and Ansible. Lead the migration of services from on-premise or other cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to GCP. Implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation. Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance, security, and scalability. Manage source control using Git and ensure proper versioning and documentation. Must Have: Terraform: 3+ years experience Ansible: 3+ years experience Cloud Platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure): 3+ years experience DevOps Practices: 3+ years experience Kubernetes Git: 2+ years experience Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Go (not Bash) Good to Have: Basic knowledge of Snowflake Experience with monitoring and optimization tools Understanding of security and compliance best practices 2+ years experience with Liquibase or similar tools This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with cutting-edge technologies and lead high-impact cloud migration projects.
