English Language Acquisition Teacher Sought for Prestigious International SchoolWe are honored to collaborate with a highly respected international school in London, dedicated to nurturing the limitless potential of their diverse student body. They are seeking a passionate and experienced English Language Acquisition Teacher to join their dedicated faculty. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of students from over 40 nationalities.Position Overview:The successful candidate will be instrumental in empowering students to develop their English language skills and flourish within an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. This role entails fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages independent thought, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning.Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP) English Language Acquisition curriculum to students in Grades 6 to 12. Design and implement a school-based English Language Development (ELD) program for students in Grades 6 to 8. Prepare and mark a wide range of assessments following MYP and DP protocols. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students, including those for whom English may not be their first language. Teach and promote English language and culture using a range of student-centered teaching strategies, resources, and technology. Embed IB "Approaches to Learning" in the curriculum delivery. Collaborate with the Chair of English and other faculty members to establish interdisciplinary links. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest language teaching advancements.
