We have a restaurant in Stoke Newington and a quick service kitchen in an Arch at Forest Road Taproom next to Netil Market, London Fields.This second venue is called TA-KO @ The Taproom and we are recruiting Chefs to run the line here. The venue has just opened this week so you will be involved in setting up systems and practices to help keep service smooth and efficient. There will also menu menu development opportunities as we would like to create additional dishes for a variety of special occasionsYou will be working as a team of 3, serving our infamous Asian Tacos to customers at the Microbrewery. The kitchen will be located in its own Railway Arch and will be operating with a buzzer system, where guests order at the till. We are looking to build a lively, fun team, happy to work in a fast paced and open kitchen, in the casual environment of a Microbrewery.There will also be cross venue shifts where you will spend time training and covering shifts at our restaurant in Stoke Newington.Requirements:Previous experience as a commis chefExperience with Asian cuisine is a bonus, but not requiredInterest in learning about Asian cuisine is essentialAble to work efficiently in a fast paced environment with another chefHappy to chat to customers and take orders at till when requiredAbility to stay calm and friendly even when under pressureResponsibilities:Ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standardsCollaborate with our Head Chef to develop new menu items and specialsFollow all health and safety regulations and guidelinesKeep a clean and organised kitchen at all timesAn interest in creativity is essential as you will be helping us to write all of our menus, or learning to do so.We prefer to find the right person and fit a role to them, so all applicants are considered.The Package:£28k Basic + Equal share of all credit card tips, Expected to be at least £3k-£7k per yearCash tips are split evenly between the whole team on a weekly basis.£1k cash bonus upon first full year of service completed28 days holiday50% team discount for everything elseOne free drink after a shift5 Day working weekMax of 45 hours per week where possible.Free staff meal every shiftKitchen Closes at 10pm dailyESSENTIAL:You must already be a UK resident and have the Right To WorkFull timein UK.AMRT1_UKCT
