This full-time role, available for an immediate start, is perfect for an educator who is passionate about inspiring students through hands-on learning and creativity in design. You will play a vital role in nurturing students’ problem-solving skills and technical knowledge while encouraging them to explore the practical applications of technology and design in the modern world.

About the role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging Design and Technology lessons that inspire students to think creatively and solve problems using practical skills. You will create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging collaboration and respectful discussions while enhancing students' understanding of design principles and technological applications. Additionally, you will play a key role in assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the broader academic and extracurricular life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons to students across various year groups.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their understanding of design principles and technical skills.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives related to Design and Technology.
• Stay up to date with the Design and Technology curriculum and employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level is highly desirable.
• A strong commitment to student achievement and personal development.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in their exploration of design and technology concepts.
