Release Manager An opportunity for a skilled Release Manager to join a dynamic team at a rapidly-growing tech start-up, and play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle. If you have a strong background in release management and a passion for delivering high-quality software, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you! Location: Remote, London Salary: £70,000-£80,000 Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage software releases across various teams and environments. Develop and maintain release plans, schedules, and documentation to ensure smooth deployment. Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure all aspects of the release process are aligned. Monitor and report on release progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Implement and refine release management processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Conduct post-release reviews and retrospectives to identify areas for improvement. Ensure adherence to best practices in version control and deployment processes. Manage the release calendar and communicate changes effectively to all teams involved. Skills Required: Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role in software development. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and release management processes. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
