We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Construction Manager to join their team in the Motherwell Property Office based in Eurocentral. You will manage, plan and oversee construction projects across Scotland, ensuring the highest standards and deadlines are met. br br You will oversee the construction of new stores, extensions and modernisations of our existing store portfolio, ensuring the highest quality standards and compliance with our corporate specification and H&S requirements. Managing relationships with key collaborators, you will liaise with internal and external parties throughout the project cycle. You will work proactively to address potential obstacles and plan costs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. br br Please be advised, you will be expected to be in the Motherwell Property Office based in Eurocentral or on site a minimum of 3 to 4 days a week. To keep in line with company structure, this role will be called Senior Construction Consultant internally. br br We’re proud to be a diverse, secure and fast-growing business, and you’ll find your role rewarding in every sense. br br What youll do br Overseeing the construction of new stores, extensions and modernisations of our existing store portfolio br Managing assigned project plans and deadlines br Monitoring project progress and checking quality standards are met at all times br Managing relationships with external companies, contractors and suppliers br Ensuring compliance with our corporate specification and internal procedures br Ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety performance on all construction sites br Remedying any issues quickly and effectively with an aim to keeping projects moving and ensuring deadlines are not jeopardised br Reporting on the progress of construction projects to the Senior team br Budget management and controlling project costs br br What youll need br br Educated to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering or Construction br Proven experience in a ConstructionEngineering related role br PC literate with strong Microsoft Office skills br A professional and refined negotiator with sound commercial acumen and judgment br Highly organised with a pragmatic and analytical approach br A strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines br An excellent communicator who can communicate confidently with people at all levels of the business br A team player who can perform tasks independently using their own initiative br RICS, CIOB or MAPM accreditation is desirable or working towards qualifications br Experience in another retailer is desirable br Driving License is essential for this role br br What youll receive br br 35 days holiday (pro rata) br 10% in-store discount br Sabbatical br Company Car br Pension scheme br Plus, more of the perks you deserve br br Disclaimer: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we reserve the right to close a vacancy earlier than the advertised date.
