Production Planner

Production Planner Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you a skilled Production Planner looking for your next challenge? Our client, a fast-growing company specializing in contract manufacturing solutions, is searching for a proactive and organised individual to join their evolving team. What You’ll Be Doing: As the Production Planner, you’ll be working closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure everything runs smoothly and that customer expectations are not just met, but exceeded. Your key responsibilities will include: Production Scheduling: Managing the master production plan and leading daily planning meetings to keep things on track. Procurement: Overseeing purchasing needs, building strong supplier relationships, and keeping an eye on cost optimisation. Export/Import Planning: Assisting in managing and improving the export strategy, working with global markets including the Far East, Europe, and the USA. Data Management: Maintaining accurate master data for bills of materials, costings, and inventory, ensuring everything is up to date and in order. Cross-Team Collaboration: Working closely with teams across the business, helping with product setups, reviews, and sign-offs, and keeping communication clear and effective. What You’ll Bring to the Table: Experience in production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and excellent Excel skills. A background in procurement and export, with the ability to manage these processes effectively. Qualifications in supply chain, procurement, or logistics (such as CIPS/CiSCM) are a bonus. A proactive, analytical approach, with strong organisational skills. Great communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team. Why Join Our Client?
