Location: EXETER
Hours: 45 per week
Hours are normally from 7am and 8 hours per day but can vary

Type: TEMP
Salary: 13.44 per hour

Manpower is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our National Client based in Exeter for Drivers to join their team on a temporary basis with an immediate start!
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic team of Couriers committed to delivering excellent customer service and timely parcel delivery. Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Multidrop Van Drivers.

Job Overview:
As a multidrop van driver, you will be responsible for delivering parcels to both residential and business addresses across Exeter and surrounding areas. You will need to provide a professional, friendly service whilst working to a delivery schedule.

What the role involves:

  • Being the face of the company; meeting customers, courteously picking up and delivering their packages.
  • Complete a set number of parcel deliveries per day, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Working flexible hours to deliver outstanding levels of service
  • Load and unload the vehicle, paying attention to detail is essential ensuring the correct parcels are delivered to the right addresses.
  • Complying with all Road Safety regulations and Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain the vehicle in a roadworthy condition, reporting any defects or issues.

You'll also need:

  • A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • To be a reliable team player who is energetic and enthusiastic
  • Good time management, organisation and customer service skills
  • A professional appearance and attitude and confidence when dealing with people
  • The ability to work equally well as part of a team and on your own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability to external driving conditions and circumstances is required as well as a good level of physical fitness due to nature of job (lifting, unloading)
  • Commercial driving experience would be an advantage
  • Basic geographical knowledge also advantageous
