Head Chef

Our client, a care home located near Kingston Upon Thames, is currently seeking a Head Chef to join their team. This Head Chef position offers a great rate of pay + benefits. Hours: *4 days per week *40 contracted hours *Alternate weekends *Daytimes only Key responsibilities include: *Supervising kitchen staff and assigning tasks as needed *Managing meal preparation and service to uphold high standards *Ensuring compliance with food and hygiene regulations set by the CQC *Planning menus *Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area *Conducting checks, audits, and risk assessments as per company policies *Monitoring stock levels and budgeted ordering *Assisting in deep cleaning of kitchen areas *Coordinating staff schedules *Handling recruitment and training Ideal candidates will: *Have previous Head Chef/Senior Chef experience in a similar supervisory/managerial role *Possess Food & Hygiene Level 2 certification or higher *Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills *Have solid experience with COSHH *Possess extensive knowledge of care home settings and CQC requirements.
