An opportunity has arisen for a BoM Controller to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the role
The BOM Controller will be responsible for ensuring the Bill of Materials (BOM) specification is aligned to the appropriate product enabling the business to plan, cost and manufacture its products. You will be responsible for facilitating BOM configuration and executing the effectivity of engineering change within a newly formed cross-functional planning team.
What you will do
- Lead the audit of Engineering BOMs vs Build BOM, noting significant discrepancies that may impact material or production planning.
- Create and maintain an accurate Build BOM to facilitate the use of works orders
- Maintaining BOMs in an ERP system from concept to final product, ensuring engineering changes are accurately captured and represented in the BOM configuration.
- Review of MRP results to ensure expected outcomes and actual plans are aligned.
- Facilitate communication between key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate build or buy configurations are set.
- Managing the effectivity of engineering change with production planning and material planning.
- Ensure that the breakdown of the FIA Catalogue is kept up to date and communicated to internal stakeholders.
About you
- Proven track record of managing BOMs in a design or motorsport environment.
- MRP system experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work to deadlines under time pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
- Experience documenting processes would be beneficial.
- Experience with D365 would be beneficial.
- Experience in the motorsport industry would be advantageous but is not essential
