They are looking to expand their team in Brighton and are seeking a Commercial Trading Manager to join them on a full time. You will be responsible for managing market trading and customer acquisition to optimise performance and achieve financial goals.

Who You Are
Over 4 years of experience in a commercial trading role or similar position.
Proven ability to deputise and lead teams effectively.
Experience managing UK stores or eCommerce is preferred.
Customer-focused, creative, and analytical, with a practical, hands-on approach.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen awareness of trading trends and the ability to react swiftly.
Highly collaborative, comfortable working within a matrix structure and achieving results through cross-functional teams.
Purpose-driven, with a strong commitment to making a positive impact beyond commercial success.
Capable of overseeing, training, and guiding direct reports in their development.
Proficient in Excel (intermediate level or above).
Competent in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
Familiarity with Business Objects, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
Desirable: Experience with SAP S/4HANA or BEX.
Iterative thinker, willing to challenge the status quo.
Ability to act as deputy to the Head of Trading when necessary.
The Responsibilities:
Manage market trading and customer acquisition across various channels to align with financial and customer goals, ensuring the achievement of annual KPIs.
Proactively adjust the online trading plan to maximise EBIT while maintaining a consistent omnichannel strategy.
Evaluate the Omnichannel Trading Plan to identify opportunities and potential risks related to KPIs.
Review performance metrics for new versus existing customers, ensuring insights align with product and category trends.
Prepare and present comprehensive trading analyses, support event planning, and conduct post-event evaluations and category-focused reviews to enhance trading strategies.
Oversee the profitable discontinuation and clearance of aged stock, collaborating with teams to effectively plan and forecast sale periods.
Facilitate the clearance of excess stock through various trading channels, including wholesale.
Conduct promotional analyses to ensure point-of-sale offers meet specific objectives, with insights shared consistently across teams.
Utilise the Ecommerce forecast to inform the distribution centre shipping schedule, particularly during peak periods.
Provide support for digital meetings as required.
