Role details:
Our client, a leading entity in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking an Information Systems Solution Analyst for a contract position. This role is predominantly remote, with occasional visits to Stevenage, Bristol, or Bolton, and is an exciting opportunity within the rapidly advancing field of defence technology.
Key Responsibilities:
You will assess Needs/Ideas according to the IM End to End Process as Technical Expert or apply the equivalent agile techniques adopted in the programme. Ensuring, and maturing the quality of the Scope, Feasibility and Business Case. Provide Systems Engineering processes/lifecycle subject matter expertise and advice at all stages.
Assist with the development and validation of requirements
Build an understanding of the interaction between tools and business processes
Map process and engineering data against the relevant application sets
Kick-off the scoping phase of solutions
Monitor solutions against the needs of internal stakeholders
Understand the impact of proposed changes for business teams and processes
Ensure the solutions as deployed meet the organisational needs
Assist in the creation of feasible projects
Provide subject matter expertise for risks, issues, and opportunities
Job Requirements:
Understanding of developing requirements and scoping systems and services
Advantageous - Mapping business or engineering processes to applications
Advantageous - Knowledge of the lifecycle of information systems including the acquisition and development of new technology
Advantageous - Experience in integrating disparate and distributed solutions in a defence environment
Advantageous - Expertise in systems engineering processes and lifecycle management
Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders, develop requirements, analyse or create processes, research solutions, assess compliance, and make informed recommendations.
Experience in systems and software engineering practices, including the ability to review, redefine, and reengineer processes.
Familiarity with SQL, DB2, ORACLE, Active Directory, Virtual Machines, WebSphere, Windows Servers, Unix, or equivalents is desirable.
