We are looking for a talented Cake Baker to join our team and help create an exquisite range of cakes, pastries, desserts, gelatos, and Italian-style croissants. You ll play a key role in contributing fresh ideas to expand our product offerings and deliver exceptional treats to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:
- Be a positive, professional ambassador for our brand at all times.
- Mix and bake large volumes of sponges, batters, and cakes (including celebration cakes) to maintain stock for both online orders and café demand, ensuring top-quality results.
- Assemble, ice, and finish cakes, including preparing buttercreams, icings, and fillings, and piping personalized messages with a high level of professional skill.
- Follow company recipes and methods to ensure consistency and high standards across the team.
- Contribute creative ideas for new cakes, especially for special occasions and events.
- Work flexibly and efficiently with the team, offering support and mentoring new team members when necessary.
- Uphold impeccable food safety and health & safety standards, following company recycling procedures and addressing any concerns with the Production Manager.
- Check and record fridge temperatures daily, receive and store deliveries correctly, monitor stock levels, and minimize wastage.
- Clean and maintain equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift and at the end of the day.
- Carry out any other tasks as needed to support the business.
- Strong culinary skills, especially in viennoiserie, pastry, cake decoration, and sugar work, with the ability to create elegant, delicious products.
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef/Baker in a high-end, fast-paced environment, producing high-quality products in volume.
- A passion for quality with an eye for detail.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety and food hygiene, with the ability to uphold high standards.
- Creativity and experience in developing new recipe ideas.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and problem-solve.
- Interpersonal skills to mentor and inspire team members, with a passion for sharing knowledge.
- Fluency in English (Italian language skills are a bonus) and good numeracy skills.
- A genuine passion for creating wonderful products and inspiring others.
- Creativity and innovation, with an understanding of current food trends.
- Determination to maintain high standards even when producing at volume.
- A professional, proactive, and hands-on attitude.
- Positivity and resilience, with the ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.
